In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Ceres At A Fountain, Attended By Putti by Guillaume Courtois. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 163,250.00 (€ 201,332.59), 36% above the upper estimate. With this result, Ceres At A Fountain, Attended By Putti is even the most expensive work of art by Guillaume Courtois that we have observed at auctions so far.
