Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guido Biasi could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Selections from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund auction, the work Mnemonic 176 changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 331.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guido Biasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panoplia erotica in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 7,000.00.
