Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gui Zhuang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Four-character Poem in Running-cursive Script sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,354.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gui Zhuang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five-Character Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 413,000.00 (€ 48,249.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gui Zhuang erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Four-character Poem in Running-cursive Script für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.354,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gui Zhuang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 413.000,00 (€ 48.249,41) versteigert wurde.
