Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Clerical Script by Gui Fu. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,941.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gui Fu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair Of Long -Men Couplet Of Calligraphy In Seal Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 425,195.53).
