This artwork by Gui Fu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,728.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gui Fu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair Of Long -Men Couplet Of Calligraphy In Seal Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 425,195.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gui Fu erzielte im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.728,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gui Fu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pair Of Long -Men Couplet Of Calligraphy In Seal Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 425.195,53).
