In November 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Italian an Afternoon On A Venetian Canal by Guglielmo Ciardi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,342.05), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Guglielmo Ciardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian a View Of St Marks Basin With The Punta Della Dogana in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 241,997.85).

Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian an Afternoon On A Venetian Canal von Guglielmo Ciardi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.342,05) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guglielmo Ciardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian a View Of St Marks Basin With The Punta Della Dogana im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 241.997,85).
