Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work View of the lagoon, Venice by Guglielmo Ciardi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,227.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guglielmo Ciardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian a View Of St Marks Basin With The Punta Della Dogana in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 241,997.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the lagoon, Venice von Guglielmo Ciardi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.227,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guglielmo Ciardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian a View Of St Marks Basin With The Punta Della Dogana im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 241.997,85).
