Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Lady Playing Mandolin by Guan Zilan was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 54,781.72), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Zilan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Young Girl in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 9,775,000.00 (€ 1,070,982.67).

Die Arbeit Lady Playing Mandolin von Guan Zilan wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 54.781,72) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Zilan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Girl im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.775.000,00 (€ 1.070.982,67).
