Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Last Temptation by Guan Wei was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The price achieved of AUD 11,750.00 (€ 6,821.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing With String in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 95,594.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Last Temptation von Guan Wei kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.750,00 (€ 6.821,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing With String im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 95.594,09).
