Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work First Kiss, 1994 by Guan Wei for AUD 246.00 (€ 151.69). This price was achieved in the auction The Sherman Collection | Prints & Multiples at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of AUD 600.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing With String in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 95,594.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit First Kiss, 1994 von Guan Wei für AUD 246,00 (€ 151,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sherman Collection | Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 600,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing With String im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 95.594,09).
