Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Passage to Australia, 2003 by Guan Wei was auctioned at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year. The price achieved of AUD 799.50 (€ 763.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing With String in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 95,594.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Passage to Australia, 2003 von Guan Wei kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 799,50 (€ 763,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing With String im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 95.594,09).
