The work The Carridale on a heavy reach by Gregory Robinson was sold in the Maritime auction at Christies in London in May 2000. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 822.50 (€ 1,319.81), 37% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gregory Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Nimrod under tow from the Koonya in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 7,528.11).

Die Arbeit The Carridale on a heavy reach von Gregory Robinson wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.319,81) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gregory Robinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Nimrod under tow from the Koonya im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 7.528,11).
