Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Gregorio Vardanega was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,148.27). Admittedly, works by Gregorio Vardanega have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pintura in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 65,091.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gregorio Vardanega im Mai 2010 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.148,27) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gregorio Vardanega auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pintura im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 65.091,84).
