Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Map of Nowhere by Grayson Perry was sold in the Evening Editions auction at Phillips in New York in April 2011. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,024.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grayson Perry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Want To Be An Artist in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 632,750.00 (€ 721,458.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Map of Nowhere von Grayson Perry wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Evening Editions bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.024,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grayson Perry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Want To Be An Artist im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 632.750,00 (€ 721.458,86).
