The work Sunset by Granville Redmond was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. It achieved a price of USD 51,200.00 (€ 47,236.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Granville Redmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Poppies in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 424,000.00 (€ 499,646.48).

Die Arbeit Sunset von Granville Redmond wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 51.200,00 (€ 47.236,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Granville Redmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California Poppies im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 424.000,00 (€ 499.646,48).
