Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Alameda Marsh at Sunset by Granville Redmond was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,680.00 (€ 7,040.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Granville Redmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Poppies in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 424,000.00 (€ 499,646.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Alameda Marsh at Sunset von Granville Redmond wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.680,00 (€ 7.040,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Granville Redmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California Poppies im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 424.000,00 (€ 499.646,48).
