Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rocky Point, Laguna Beach by Granville Redmond was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,475.00 (€ 44,187.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Granville Redmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Poppies in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 424,000.00 (€ 499,646.48).
