Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lupines and Poppies by Granville Redmond was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 126,375.00 (€ 119,934.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Granville Redmond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work California Poppies in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 424,000.00 (€ 499,646.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lupines and Poppies von Granville Redmond kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 126.375,00 (€ 119.934,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Granville Redmond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit California Poppies im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 424.000,00 (€ 499.646,48).
