Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Docks and Boats Along the Alameda Marsh by Granville Redmond. The »bidding war« ended at USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,586.17), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Granville Redmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Poppies in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 424,000.00 (€ 499,646.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Docks and Boats Along the Alameda Marsh von Granville Redmond zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.586,17) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Granville Redmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California Poppies im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 424.000,00 (€ 499.646,48).
