This artwork by Graham Crowley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2010. In the The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 auction, the work Yellow Rockery sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,883.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Crowley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Ground, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,456.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Graham Crowley erzielte im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 wurde die Arbeit Yellow Rockery für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.883,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Graham Crowley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Ground beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.456,24) versteigert wurde.
