This artwork by Graham Crowley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2010. In the The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 auction, the work Red Ground sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,456.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. This high result makes Red Ground the most expensive artwork by Graham Crowley that we have observed at auctions so far.
