This artwork by Graham Bell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2006. In the 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings auction, the work Head of An Evacuee sold for GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,148.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Graham Bell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Ante-Room sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,810.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Graham Bell erzielte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings wurde die Arbeit Head of An Evacuee für GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.148,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Graham Bell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Ante-Room im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.810,89).
