Auction result fails to reach estimate
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Stone-Face”, 1964 by Gordon Fazakerley for DKK 3,400.00 (€ 456.11). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 4,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Fazakerley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Pissing in a fairy tale”, which sold at auction in February this year for DKK 11,000.00 (€ 1,477.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Stone-Face”, 1964 von Gordon Fazakerley für DKK 3.400,00 (€ 456,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Fazakerley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit “Pissing in a fairy tale” beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für DKK 11.000,00 (€ 1.477,46) versteigert wurde.
