Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Composition by Gordon Fazakerley was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.18). Admittedly, works by Gordon Fazakerley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Pissing in a fairy tale” in February this year with an auction result of DKK 11,000.00 (€ 1,477.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Composition von Gordon Fazakerley im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,18) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon Fazakerley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Pissing in a fairy tale” im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 11.000,00 (€ 1.477,46).
