The work Dancing by Gong Lilong was worth HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 95,594.09) to a buyer in April 2011. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Dancing the most expensive artwork by Gong Lilong that we have observed at auctions so far.
