Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bohus Fortress, on the West Coast of Sweden by Gösta Sandels was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 100,000.00 – 125,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 80,000.00 (€ 7,716.20). Admittedly, works by Gösta Sandels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Flicka med flygande hår" (Elaine) in October 2011 with an auction result of SEK 350,000.00 (€ 38,821.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bohus Fortress, on the West Coast of Sweden von Gösta Sandels im Oktober 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 100.000,00 – 125.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 80.000,00 (€ 7.716,20) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gösta Sandels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Flicka med flygande hår" (Elaine) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 350.000,00 (€ 38.821,97).
