Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gösta Peterson could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection auction, the work School Girls, Hawaii, Mademoiselle, 1963 changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 359.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gösta Peterson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twiggy, New York Times, April 1967; and School Girls, Hawaii, Mademoiselle, 1963 in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,895.69).
