Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Harbour Sketch by Godfrey Clive Miller. It changed hands for a price of AUD 2,868.00 (€ 1,675.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Godfrey Clive Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Four Seasons in May 2003 with an auction result of AUD 21,150.00 (€ 11,707.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Harbour Sketch von Godfrey Clive Miller zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 2.868,00 (€ 1.675,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Godfrey Clive Miller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Four Seasons im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 21.150,00 (€ 11.707,46).
