This price was achieved in the auction The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Glady MacCabe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Clown with Cat sold at auction in May 2004 with the realized price of GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,944.47).
