Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Capriccio With Figures Among Ruins, An Artist Sketching In The Foreground by Giuseppe Zais was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2014. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,092.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Zais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tiber, Rome, with the Castel Sant' Angelo and Saint Peter's in the background; and The Roman Forum in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 194,347.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Capriccio With Figures Among Ruins, An Artist Sketching In The Foreground von Giuseppe Zais wurde im Januar 2014 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tiber, Rome, with the Castel Sant' Angelo and Saint Peter's in the background; and The Roman Forum im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 194.347,72).
