In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work Paying homage at the lagoon shrine, Venice by Giuseppe Vizzotto Alberti. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 705.00 (€ 1,012.04), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Vizzotto Alberti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen On The Venetian Lagoon, Dusk in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 5,903.69).

Im November 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paying homage at the lagoon shrine, Venice von Giuseppe Vizzotto Alberti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 1.012,04) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vizzotto Alberti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen On The Venetian Lagoon, Dusk im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 5.903,69).
