In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work View from the Lagoon sold for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,799.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Vizzotto Alberti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen On The Venetian Lagoon, Dusk, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 5,903.69).
