The price achieved of USD 478,800.00 (€ 449,408.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Christ before Pilate is the most expensive artwork by Giuseppe Vermiglio that we have observed at auctions so far.
