Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Il Prospetto principale del Tempio e Piazza di S. Pietro in Vaticano, e Palazzo Pontifico; and L'Interno della Basilica Vaticana colla rappresentanza dell' Ordine, con cui l'Ecclesiastica Gerarchia Cardinali Arcivescovi by Giuseppe Vasi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,347.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Vasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prospetto dell'Alma Cittá di Roma visto dal Monte Gianicolo in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,728.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il Prospetto principale del Tempio e Piazza di S. Pietro in Vaticano, e Palazzo Pontifico; and L'Interno della Basilica Vaticana colla rappresentanza dell' Ordine, con cui l'Ecclesiastica Gerarchia Cardinali Arcivescovi von Giuseppe Vasi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.347,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vasi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prospetto dell'Alma Cittá di Roma visto dal Monte Gianicolo im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.728,24).
