Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Porta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A bearded man, half-length, wearing a quartered doublet, gesturing to the left in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 402,650.00 (€ 642,242.37).
