Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sosta A Paestum by Giuseppe Laezza was auctioned at Christies in Rome in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Laezza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fisherfolk At The Bay of Naples, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,614.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sosta A Paestum von Giuseppe Laezza im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Rom versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.900,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Laezza mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fisherfolk At The Bay of Naples beobachtet, die im März 2006 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.614,76) versteigert wurde.
