In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Italian Caravan At Rest by Giuseppe Gabani. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,641.22), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Gabani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian the Derby Reale in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 142,018.56).

Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian Caravan At Rest von Giuseppe Gabani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.641,22) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Gabani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian the Derby Reale im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 142.018,56).
