The work Marina by Giuseppe Casciaro was sold in the Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo auction at Il Ponte in June last year. It achieved a price of EUR 1,400.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40 %. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Casciaro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Il mare di castro in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,692.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Marina von Giuseppe Casciaro wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.400,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Casciaro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Il mare di castro im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.692,23).
