In June 2004 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Contadine nei campi by Giuseppe Buscaglione. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,364.00 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Buscaglione - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Barcaiolo sul fiume, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 3,920,000.00 (€ 3,523.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Contadine nei campi von Giuseppe Buscaglione zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.364,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Buscaglione mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Barcaiolo sul fiume beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 3.920.000,00 (€ 3.523,20) versteigert wurde.
