Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Reticolo by Giulio Turcato was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 14,025.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giulio Turcato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Reticolo in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 251,175.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Reticolo von Giulio Turcato im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 14.025,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giulio Turcato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Reticolo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 251.175,00.
