Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Cronus Devouring his Child by Giulia Lama. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,587.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Giulia Lama have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2011 the work Saturn Devouring His Child was auctioned for USD 98,500.00 (€ 67,823.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cronus Devouring his Child von Giulia Lama zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.587,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Giulia Lama konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2011 die Arbeit Saturn Devouring His Child für USD 98.500,00 (€ 67.823,45) versteigert.
