In June 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Saturn Devouring His Child by Giulia Lama. The »bidding war« ended at USD 98,500.00 (€ 67,823.45), 41% above the upper estimate. With this result, Saturn Devouring His Child is even the most expensive work of art by Giulia Lama that we have observed at auctions so far.
