Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maddalena penitente by Girolamo Troppa was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in Milan in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 15,320.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Girolamo Troppa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Healing of Tobias, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,270.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maddalena penitente von Girolamo Troppa wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 15.320,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Girolamo Troppa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Healing of Tobias beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.270,68) versteigert wurde.
