Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Property from, which included the work Adam holding an apple, seated, in a medallion; and Aaron looking up, seated, in a medallion by Girolamo Mazzola Bedoli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 70,500.00 (€ 82,033.98), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Girolamo Mazzola Bedoli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, Bust Length, In A Black Gown And Linen Partlet, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 274,000.00 (€ 252,954.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Property from durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adam holding an apple, seated, in a medallion; and Aaron looking up, seated, in a medallion von Girolamo Mazzola Bedoli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 70.500,00 (€ 82.033,98) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Girolamo Mazzola Bedoli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Bust Length, In A Black Gown And Linen Partlet beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 274.000,00 (€ 252.954,21) versteigert wurde.
