Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work The Penitent Magdalene by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgin And Child By A Window: "Madonna Of The Cherries" in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 2,770,500.00 (€ 2,020,051.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene von Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Virgin And Child By A Window: "Madonna Of The Cherries" im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.770.500,00 (€ 2.020.051,04).
