Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Renaissance, which included the work The Madonna Nursing The Christ Child With Saint Anne by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Virgin And Child By A Window: "Madonna Of The Cherries" in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 2,770,500.00 (€ 2,020,051.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Renaissance durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna Nursing The Christ Child With Saint Anne von Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 280.779,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Virgin And Child By A Window: "Madonna Of The Cherries" im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.770.500,00 (€ 2.020.051,04).
