Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Virgin And Child by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli. The price achieved of USD 269,000.00 (€ 199,259.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgin And Child By A Window: "Madonna Of The Cherries" in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 2,770,500.00 (€ 2,020,051.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Virgin And Child von Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 199.259,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Virgin And Child By A Window: "Madonna Of The Cherries" im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.770.500,00 (€ 2.020.051,04).
