In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Half-Length, In A Blue Dress; And Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Black Coat And Cartwheel Ruff by Giovanni Maria delle Piane. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,164.06), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Maria delle Piane achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ritratto del principe Eugenio di Savoia (1663-1736), insignito del Toson d'Oro per la vittoria riportata a Vienna sull'esercito turco in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 46,550,000.00 (€ 41,838.00).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Half-Length, In A Blue Dress; And Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Black Coat And Cartwheel Ruff von Giovanni Maria delle Piane zur Versteigerung kam.
