Auction result misses estimated price range

In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Boy In A Burgundy Coat And White Ruff, Bust-Length by Giovanni Maria Butteri for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,381.65). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Maria Butteri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegorie der Geduld. in September last year with an auction result of CHF 171,100.00 (€ 177,641.08).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy In A Burgundy Coat And White Ruff, Bust-Length von Giovanni Maria Butteri für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.381,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Maria Butteri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegorie der Geduld. im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 171.100,00 (€ 177.641,08).
