The »bidding war« ended at EUR 450.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Lomi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giardini Pubblici A Firenze in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 10,000.00.

Die Arbeit Vicolo di paese con carretto e figure von Giovanni Lomi wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Dipinti e sculture XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 450,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Lomi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giardini Pubblici A Firenze im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.000,00.
